Which class is for me?

Three levels. Something that works for you in every one.

“If you are completely new to Pilates, haven't done Pilates for some time, would like to focus more on your alignment and control, or prefer a slower moving more focused class then my Gentle Pilates class is for you. It is slower paced to allow you time to become familiar with the moves and gain confidence.”

“If you are a beginner but can't make the gentle Pilates class please don't let that put you off. Try one of my mixed ability classes where I offer adaptations to suit all levels.”

“For those more familiar with Pilates matwork moves who want to work harder, then my intermediate classes are likely to suit you best.”

Start here if unsure

Gentle Pilates

Monday 9:00am, Ifold · Wednesday 10.15am, Loxwood

“These classes are slower-paced, to focus on the basics, and build up familiarity with the Pilates moves and terminology. There will be greater focus on alignment, breath and stretching. We work on improving the range of movement, flexibility and posture through a well-rounded workout. Emphasis is on breath work, control, concentration and ‘moving from your centre’ (developing core strength). These classes are suitable for those completely new to Pilates, as well as those who want to fine-tune their technique by slowing down to focus on correct alignment and control.”

Beginners welcome

Mixed Ability Pilates

Monday 8.00pm and Wednesday 9:00am & 8.00pm, Loxwood · Friday 8.45am & 9.45am, Wisborough Green

“This class is suitable for both beginners and those who have done Pilates before (either recently or in the past). Some more challenging Pilates exercises will be introduced, but explained in a little more detail for those who are new to Pilates, and performed at a slower pace. The class will offer more options to give all participants an opportunity to push themselves if they wish. This includes more weight bearing on arms, more complex movements, and larger ranges of movement with stability and balance challenges. These are great all-round classes, and work in quite a lot of depth with the body.”

By arrangement

Intermediate Pilates

Not on the current timetable — ask Liz

“This class is for those who are familiar with Pilates. It is faster paced, and will explore the more advanced matwork moves which generally require greater centre (core) and upper body strength, flexibility and control. It is assumed clients are familiar with the names of moves and correct positioning. You will be challenged with more complicated exercises, and more dynamic, flowing movements.”

About me

Hi, I'm Liz – mum, Pilates instructor and nutritional therapist.

I decided to train as a Pilates instructor after moving to West Sussex several years ago and couldn't find a local class to join. I hadn't done any structured exercise since having my children and decided it was time to reclaim my body. The only classes I could find were either in membership health clubs (expensive!), the local leisure centre (25 people packed into the room and I couldn't see the instructor…only went once!), or local classes that were ‘not for beginners’!

I decided the best option was to re-train and run my own classes in local halls, and I haven't looked back.

I've been teaching Pilates classes since 2016. On a personal level I feel so much stronger and more confident in my body and my physical ability. I stand taller and walk better, I am toned and my baby belly has completely gone. I am amazed in myself that the things I found almost impossible whilst I was training, are now achievable.

I don't pretend to be perfect with my clients – Pilates is a work in progress, and there is plenty that I still can't do! But what I try to offer are inclusive Pilates classes that anyone can join and find beneficial – male or female, old or young, a complete beginner or someone who already exercises regularly. I want everyone to feel comfortable – we keep it light-hearted and everyone works at their own level.

There are no perfect bodies or bare skin, just wear what you are comfortable in.

My classes are suitable for a range of abilities, with something to suit everyone. Pilates moves can all be taught at many levels so within every class I aim to give options so there is something that works for you. However, if you are feeling a little unsure or have not done much structured exercise before, start with my gentle Pilates class. This is slower with plenty of explanation to introduce you to the Pilates moves, with a focus on flexibility, posture and breathing, which will gently increase your range of movement and strength.

If you are interested in joining one of my classes please get in touch.

“I personally find your regular Pilates classes help keep my blood pressure and stress levels down. My neck has certainly improved - so a big thank-you for that, as not many Pilates teachers focus on the neck and head positions! …. It helps refocus you to use your body in different ways and re-align the body from all those awful postures and positions that we have fallen into habit with carrying children around over the years.”

About this preview

This is a one-page concept prototype prepared for Pilates with Liz by Fully Booked. It is not Liz's website and it is not an official site. Every word of class, price and biography text is taken from her current pages; nothing has been added or changed.

  • A full build would carry each of her existing pages in full — Home, Classes, About and Contact — and be considerably more detailed than this single page.
  • A real build would begin with photographs of Liz's own classes and halls. This preview is deliberately typographic and uses only her logo and her own photograph.
  • The “How booking a place could look” panel is illustrative. Its slots are examples and its buttons do nothing.
